The major questions facing us – both at present and in the future – are too complex and interlinked to allow a unidimensional answer. The increasing social, political, economic, cultural, ecological and media interconnectedness of today’s world necessitates a place of common discourse. And that place is the university. In a dynamic and complex society that in many ways is trying to find a way of restructuring itself, more and more problem situations can no longer be pinned down in terms of a clear disciplinary location. Zeppelin University (ZU) is guided by the pioneering spirit of the man who gave it its name, and from the beginning has stood for an interdisciplinary approach comprised of the economy, culture and politics.
