The zeppelin – the proud legacy of a great visionary – was instilled with new life in 1993 by ZLT Zeppelin Luftschifftechnik GmbH in the form of a next-generation airship, the Zeppelin NT (New Technology). The Zeppelin NT opened up a range of fascinating and versatile potential uses. It created a new dimension in air tourism and its unique flight characteristics offer ideal conditions for use as a flying laboratory in the areas of science and research.

The Zeppelin NT is the only airship worldwide with a rigid internal structure. Weighing just 1100 kg and made from lightweight aluminum and carbon fiber, it meets the highest standards of safety, stability and maneuverability – for an unmatched flying experience.

With a length of 75 m and a volume of 8425 m³, the Zeppelin NT is the largest semi-rigid airship in the world today. It has been approved by EASA and the FAA for commercial operation in the “Commuter” class. The NT is equipped with a fly-by-wire flight control system and approved for single pilot operation in VFR conditions (day and night).
